The John Hancock Center is getting a name change, nearly a decade after another of Chicago's beloved skyscrapers, The Sears Tower, switched their name as well which caused a huge uproar. Us Chicagoans, still call The Sears Tower by that name and not The Willis Tower even though it's been almost 10 years since the change. For now, The Hancock will be known by its address, 875 N. Michigan Ave, until the owner seeks a new naming-rights deal. The Hancock will always hold a special place with us since our very first ChiBoys design created was our Hancock t-shirt and they even got picked up for a couple years in the Hancock gift shop.
