The team behind DineAmic Hospitality (Bar Siena and Prime & Provisions) have persuaded two chefs to abandon the island of Mykonos to come to Chicago to open their new modern Greek restaurant in Fulton Market, Lyra.
Lyra is a gorgeous restaurant that makes you instantly feel like you are on vacation. They have wood-fired ovens in an open kitchen making Greek classics like grilled octopus marinated in balsamic vinegar and eggplant spread, as well as a deconstructed pastisio, the Greek version of lasagna, and shrimp saganaki.
Even the cocktails at the bar will incorporate Greek ingredients, we loved the watermelon ouzo shots! Their hummus & charred beets, grilled octopus and bouzoukia potatoes were a must. Lyra is located at 905 W. Fulton Market. Open Sunday-Thursday 5pm-midnight and Friday & Saturday 4pm-1am.
